Oregon Coast to Canada...and back - Day 3

Saturday Oct. 1

We took our time, taking in the sites, making it an all day trip from the beach house in Waldport Oregon to Anacortes Washington.

Making our way slowly up the Oregon coast, we did encounter some rain. It slowed us down a little but not enough to dampen our day…
pun intended.

Once we crossed over into Washington state, we drove inland a little to pickup highway 5. We finally ended  our full day of driving by moving along at freeway speeds. No traffic delays in Seattle or for the rest of the way to Anacortes. Man oh man, we saw some beautiful coastline. Along the way we passed by Justin's last air base. we took a couple of pics and texted them to him...memory lane!

We drove directly to the ferry terminal to insure we wouldn't get lost trying to find it early the next day. Done!

We found a camp ground within two miles of the ferry. So our first night of actual camping was at the Washington State Park. By time we parked and got all of the electronics charging, it was getting dark out…time to hit the sack. Interesting thing about the State Park campground…there was a wedding and reception going on providing us with live, loud music. It was a first!

Next… Let phase three begin.
